Dear VAGARA Members,
As the year draws to a close, so too does my term as President of VAGARA. After more than nine years of service on the board—four of which I’ve had the honor of serving as President—I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on the journey we’ve shared.
This year’s conference in Virginia Beach was a shining example of what makes our organization so special. With more than 160 participants and exhibitors, the event was filled with energy, insight, and connection. From outstanding education sessions to meaningful networking opportunities, it was a powerful reminder of the value VAGARA brings to our professional community. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success.
Throughout my time on the board, I’ve been proud to work alongside so many of you in advancing VAGARA’s mission: to promote education, best practices, and professional networking in support of those responsible for the administration of public records in Virginia. Serving as President has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. I’ve had the privilege of working with dedicated members who volunteer their time and talents to move our mission forward. Together, we’ve navigated challenges, celebrated milestones, and built a solid foundation for continued growth. VAGARA has many opportunities for service and I encourage each of you to consider volunteering in the coming year.
While I’m stepping down from the presidency, I’m not stepping away. I look forward to serving as Past President and supporting the incoming board as they prepare for next year’s conference at Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg. I’m confident that our newly elected board members will provide strong leadership and thoughtful stewardship in the coming term.
Thank you for your trust, your collaboration, and your commitment to VAGARA. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and even more excited for what lies ahead.
With appreciation,
Jessie Graham
VAGARA President
